Breaking News! Beth Anne Mumford: Pennsylvania State Director for Americans for Prosperity to speak at the Young Women’s Leadership Retreat

Beth Anne Mumford is the State Director for Americans for Prosperity Pennsylvania, a grassroots advocacy organization dedicated to educating and empowering citizens to fight for the values of a free society, where she leads a team of seven along with hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvania activists.

From training grassroots activists to leading the fight in Pennsylvania for lower taxes and more spending reforms, Mumford is dedicated to empowering citizens to effectively engage in the public discussion about the proper role of government and lowering barriers to opportunity across Pennsylvania so that our communities and all citizens can thrive.

Prior to joining Americans for Prosperity, Mumford spent nearly 20 years in strategic planning, communications, grassroots engagement, media relations and public affairs. During that time, she successfully helped many clients achieve their strategic goals through outreach and stakeholder engagement programs. Mumford led her own consulting business before joining a Kansas City based firm where she worked for 10 years prior to joining Americans for Prosperity.

At the age of eight, Beth Anne decided she wanted to be the first female US Senator from Virginia, where she was raised. The notion wasn’t too lofty though; she assumed it was a job that didn’t start until 10 a.m. After earning a degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia, she moved to Washington, DC, where she learned a lot about politics and policy, and spent time on Capitol Hill as congressional staff.

Today, she’s usually up by 6:30 a.m. to begin her day as a mom to three spirited children who think she should run for president. Her husband is a Pennsylvania native and the family lives in Harrisburg.

Beth Anne is one of several wonderful speakers confirmed to speak at the Young Women’s Leadership Retreat taking place on July 26-29 at Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia. Acceptance to the Leadership Retreat includes a full scholarship to attend, which covers admissions, lodging, and board. Transportation to Bryn Mawr College must be provided by the student. A limited amount of travel scholarships are also available. (Ambien) A video from the 2016 Leadership Retreat can be viewed here. The application deadline is May 15, but spots are filling up quickly, APPLY today to ensure you don’t miss what will surely be the highlight of your summer!
