I was raised growing up in a conservative household all my life. My father served our great country in the U.S. Army for 31 years. He has received multiple purple hearts and a great deal of of other medals. I was also raised by my strong and independent mother who was a loyal and dedicated army wife and army mom. I am extremely proud of my family and our views for several reasons.
Having conservative views is having views that stand for what America truly is at the core.
I am proud to be a conservative woman because the social values conservatives espouse stand for life, peace, and helps American families and our society be prosperous, strong, and enduring. I am proud to say that because of the various views I have as a conservative, they have shaped me as a person and who I am. I am extremely proud of the person I have become and still becoming due to the ways my views shape my every day life. Conservative views have opened my eyes to see that as long as you work hard and never give up, you can accomplish whatever you put your mind to. I am proud of all the goals I have set for myself and I am excited to say that I have a plan for my future and by having been accepted to college recently, I am one step closer to achieving my dreams. Overall, because of the way my parents raised me and because I stuck with those views, I am on my way to success.
Growing up and as I got into politics more, I gained a respect for multiple conservative women who represent all of the great values we women have as conservatives. For example, I look up to Condoleeza Rice who was the first ever African American woman to become the Secretary of State. She also attended the University of Colorado, here in my home state. She is a role model for every woman in this country for many, many reasons. I also look up to my mom as an amazing role model. She taught me all I know and without her guidance, I don’t know where I would be today. I also have my grandma to thank because she is the one who passed down her conservative views onto my mom. Basically, I look up to all the women in my life who has influenced me as the person I am today. I plan to continue to pass down conservative values to my children in the future and carry on what my mom and grandma did. I greatly hope to be looked up to as a role model when I am much older.
Some of the major issues in today’s current events that drive me would have to be North Korea, abortion, and illegal immigration. I strongly think that serious action needs to be taken against North Korea so they know that they cannot just launch missiles everywhere and over Japan when they feel like it. They have threatened the United States multiple times and that has to be taken seriously. I agree with the current administrations strict sanctions with North Korea. I hope to see other countries create sanctions too against them so they can start to realize their mistakes. I really hope to see peace with North Korea and Kim Jong Un in the future. Another goal of this country’s current administration, which I agree with, is to stop funding Planned Parenthood. Should congress reconstruct health care, they plan to stop giving money to Planned Parenthood. This will hopefully be the start of the end of unnecessary abortions of so many babies. Lastly, illegal immigration is a serious issue in the news today. I agree with the plans this current administration has regarding building up new boarders and increasing security to stop the flow of people coming into this country illegally. We need to make more strict procedures to prevent people who want to cause us harm from all over the world from entering this country. All together, these are the three main issues that are driving me to spread my views more and more.
I will always be a proud conservative woman no matter what. Because of my family and my views, I am the person who I am today. I will always strive to live my life according to my views.
