Senior Spotlight: Taylor Scherck, Colorado Christian University

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Taylor Scherck, President of NeW at Colorado Christian University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
My favorite event we hosted was Entrepreneurship and Politics featuring Heidi Hanahl. Getting to hear from Heidi Ganahl whom at the time was running for Governor in Colorado was a real treat! She is a strong, powerful, and an inspiring woman.

What are your plans after graduation?
As of right now I plan to continue working as the Marketing Coordinator for Educational Media Foundation Broadcasting.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Be yourself no matter how hard other’s try to change you. You may loose followers, friends, and family members because of your conservative beliefs, but in the process you will become stronger. Get involved with NeW and other conservative clubs on your campus. That is where I have meet some of my life-long friends and it has allowed me to grow firm in my beliefs.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has given me to resources to become a strong, independent-minded conservative woman. The speakers that I got to bring to campus through NeW have challenged me and allowed me to understand what I believe and why I believe it. NeW has given me a safe-space with likeminded women whom I know can rely on when I go out into the world.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it gives young women a safe place to be themselves and meet other like-minded women. There is not other club on campus where you are given to resources to grow firm in your beliefs, while making fun memories with the girls on your campus.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Taylor. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
