Senior Spotlight: Rachel McGee, NeW at Western Carolina University

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members. We will miss working with them on campus, but look forward to them joining our NeW Alumnae Network.

Today’s Spotlight is on Rachel McGee, NeW member at Western Carolina University. After graduating, Rachel plans to obtain her Master’s in Physician’s Assistant studies. 

Q. What is one thing you have gained from NeW?

A. I have gained many important qualities from NeW, but the main thing I’ve learned is how to carry myself as a strong independent conservative woman. I’ve learned how to express my opinions respectively and assertively, while forming intellectual conversations about important issues in our society.

Q. How did NeW shape your college experience?

A. NeW brought me community, it gave me a place to be surrounded by like-minded women who strive for the same goals.

Q. What is your favorite part of NeW? Your favorite memory?

A. I enjoyed planning and attending our fundraisers, raising money for organizations locally and nationally.

Q. What is one piece of advice you would give to other NeW members?

A. Be yourself fully, do not be afraid to speak your opinion in a respectful manner! You never know who you could be impacting.
