Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Monet Pokrant, member of NeW at University of Arizona.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
This year I was able to participate in the picnic on the mall, as well as Friendsgiving. My favorite part of these events was getting closer to the girls in NeW!

What are your plans after graduation?
I’m not sure what company I will end up working for, but my plans are to pursue a career that is meaningful to me and aligns with my personal beliefs and values.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Find a way to connect with other people who share the same beliefs that you do so that you don’t feel like you are alone, because you’re not!

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has helped me grow in terms of my professional development and has also provided me with a network of supportive and like minded women who I know want to see me succeed.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it has made me more secure in my personal beliefs and has reminded me that its best to stand up for what you believe in, even if you are the only one standing.
