Meet Maura Schlee, social chair of NeW at Catholic University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I loved the NeW National Birthday Reception, as well as attending Book Club.

What are your plans after graduation?
Law school at Catholic University

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Take advantage all the opportunities you have on campus and off campus. Don’t be afraid to speak up in classes and speak your mind — it goes a long way.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has given me the confidence and support to go out into the world and my future career as a strong conservative woman who is not afraid to stand up for the values that are most important to me!

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is how I have met some of my best friends from college whom I know I can count on for advice, support, and a few laughs. I know that the lessons I have learned from NeW will help me lead by example in the future and hopefully help others feel comfortable enough to stand up for these values too!
