As the academic year is coming to a close, NeW wants to take some time to recognize our members who are graduating this semester to thank them for their hard work and dedication to our organization. This spotlight is highlighting Kennedy Borchardt from Xavier University.
How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has shown me that there are more people who think like me than I thought before, and that I just have to look for them. Next year, on whichever campus I end up being on, I’ll look for that community of love and support.
What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Never back down in what you believe in. It’s going to get tough, and there are going to be times where you don’t feel accepted. Just know that college is meant to promote the diversity of ideas, and so your beliefs have just as much of a place as others do. Always stand up for your convictions, and don’t be afraid of them.
