Senior Spotlight: Kelsey Smith, Clemson University

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Kelsey Smith, President of NeW at Clemson University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I loved attending Leadership Retreat because it gave me the opportunity to meet so many amazing women from across the country!

What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to continue at Clemson University to pursue a Master’s in Communication!

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
I would encourage conservative women to challenge themselves in college and push themselves out of their comfort zones. This will help you grow and bring opportunities your way. I would also encourage you to start speaking out about your beliefs early in your college career, as it gets easier to be bold with your beliefs the more you do it.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has helped to push me to grow as a leader. Through NeW, I have had the opportunity to challenge myself and grow personally as well as professionally. I feel more prepared for my professional career through meeting and learning from the incredible women in NeW!

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it has given me a place to find genuine friends that share my values. We are able to build each other up and continue to learn and grow from each other so that each of us has the tools she needs to succeed.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Kelsey. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
