Meet Katy Selinger, former President of NeW at American University.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I enjoyed hosting an event on campus around The Gentlemen Showcase each year. I also thought our events with Lisa Boothe and Kelsey Bolar on campus were a big success. My favorite memory with NeW National was attending the 2019 Leadership Retreat in Atlanta, Georgia.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Don’t be scared to share your opinion, but be respectful in doing so. Humility and kindness get you much more respect from your peers and professors.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has taught me the value in discussing political issues with my peers and has given me valuable leadership experience.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW has provided me with opportunities to meet young conservative women and find community in our common interests, both on campus and across the country.
