Meet Katarina Swendrowski, Treasurer of NeW at Dickinson College.
What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
Some of my favorites were book talks, movie nights, general meetings and discussions, NeW National Leadership Retreat.
What are your plans after graduation?
I will be working at a winery while I study for my Level 1 and 2 sommelier certifications.
What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Stay true to yourself and fine a community that encourages you to be yourself and that supports you. Know your value!
How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
It has allowed me to be part of a network with amazing women who will continue to support and encourage me. NeW has also helped me with communication and networking skills that I can always reflect on!
Why is NeW important to you?
NeW gave me the opportunity to make connections with my peers in a safe space. It has encouraged me to be myself and to support other likeminded women. I will forever cherish my memories and the friendships I made.
