Senior Spotlight: Gabrielle Picard, NeW at the University of Mississippi

This spring, we continue to highlight some of our exceptional seniors and celebrate their upcoming graduation. Meet Gabrielle Picard, senior at the University of Mississippi.

Gabby is a Chapter Leader of NeW at Ole Miss and was a NeW Student Media Fellow the fall of 2019. She had her op-ed “Leave the politics out of children’s board games” published in the Detroit News.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has led me to making connections to other women from across the country who are leaders in the conservative movement. From going to several NeW events in DC I was able to connect with chapter leaders and grow as a leader myself.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Find other women who think like you. It is important to know that your values and beliefs are shared with other likeminded women so that you can feel more empowered and confident in your views.

The Network of enlightened Women provides amazing opportunities for young Conservative females. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus here and help others learn about what NeW stands for!
