Senior Spotlight: Claire Fingerlin, University of South Carolina

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Claire Fingerlin, member of NeW at University of South Carolina.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I am so grateful to be apart of an organization where we can here from speakers such as Grace Valentine! It was refreshing to hear from a woman who has been in our shoes and has so much wisdom to give us college girls. I am so appreciative to the NeW Exec at South Carolina for making that event happen.

What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation I plan on getting a full-time position in the visual communications or sales industry.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
In college it is so important to surround yourself with people who are going to uplift you and encourage you to be the best version of yourself. Seeking out healthy relationships your freshman year of college will set you up for success for the rest of your life.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
I feel as though NeW at South Carolina has made me a more confident woman. I have learned how to use my voice in a respectful yet purposeful way in my every day life.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it has given me a safe and healthy environment to grow and learn during my time at USC.
