Senior Spotlight: Ashley Jenniges, NeW at the University of South Florida

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Ashley Jenniges, member of NeW at the University of South Florida.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I loved getting to have Sophia Fisher come talk to our group about human trafficking and how we can help to make a difference. I also loved attending CPAC and getting to hear from so many amazing speakers and politicians.

What are your plans after graduation?
I hope to find a job as a communications specialist somewhere that makes me happy. I also hope to be planning my future with my long-term boyfriend and hopefully getting to travel some.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Don’t be afraid to voice your beliefs. Never let anyone make you feel wrong for having the values and beliefs you have. Standing with like-minded woman can be so empowering.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
NeW has shown me how to be a professional conservative. I have learned skills and tips on how to enter the world in a professional setting while keeping my conservative views. I now feel confident stepping into a new position in my life thanks to NeW.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it made me feel like my voice was heard. Being on a college campus that is predominantly liberal, it was hard to feel comfortable thinking differently than everyone. NeW gave me the confidence to step out and share my views. I love being able to be surrounded by like-minded woman who support each other.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Ashley. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
