NeW at Xavier University Hosts Empowering Movie Night on Campus

The women of NeW at Xavier University partnered with the school’s Student Activities Council to host Movie Madness, an outdoor movie night, on September 4. The theme of the event was women’s empowerment, and the 131 attendees watched A League of Their Own, a film based on the real-life All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in 1943.

The night went off without a hitch, and participants walked away feeling a sense of empowerment after reflecting upon the true story of trailblazing women in sports. It additionally gave the chapter a great opportunity to showcase NeW and to build relationships with other student groups on campus.

“It was really encouraging that the Xavier University Student Activities Council reached out to us to help sponsor the event. It was a great opportunity to represent conservative ideals on campus in a fun and inclusive way! (lazye.com) ” Mary Cianciolo, President of NeW at Xavier, shared.
