NeW at the University of Virginia, alongside the school’s College Republicans chapter and NeW at The Catholic University of America, held a talk with Olivia Enos and Nicole Robinson from The Heritage Foundation on March 10, 2021.
During the event, Enos, senior policy analyst for the foundation’s Asian Studies Center, discussed human rights issues facing women in Asia and shared some career advice she has learned over the years. Meanwhile, Robinson, research assistant at the foundation’s Allison Center for Foreign Policy, focused on women’s empowerment and talked about her experience studying abroad in Jordan. Both women provided the meeting’s 20 virtual attendees with a better understanding of women’s issues across the globe. (thenewspocket.com)
“The human rights issues happening in Asia and the Middle East that Enos and Robinson discussed are appalling. There is a literal genocide in China and multiple crimes against humanity, but the left is more worried about the political correctness of a children’s book,” a chapter member shared after the event.
