NeW at University of Tampa Hosts Global Trafficking Speaker Event

NeW at the University of Tampa hosted Christina Bain, director of Babson College’s Initiative on Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, for a discussion on April 28, 2021.

During the event, Bain gave a great informational presentation on global trafficking to the 14 women in attendance. She showed the attendees the history behind trafficking laws and the different types that we see all over the world today. She also provided the chapter with statistics and case law that greatly added to the reality of the global trafficking epidemic, leaving the women feeling better educated on the issue.

“Very informative!” a member reacted after the event. (savethechimps.org) “Christina successfully educated us on a difficult topic incredibly effectively.”
