NeW at Oakland University Makes Gingerbread Houses and Holiday Cards for Children’s Hospital

NeW at Oakland University hosted an end-of-the-semester event, during which they gave back just in time for the holidays.

The women got together on December 2, 2021 for dinner and to decorate gingerbread houses while talking about how the semester was going. They also decorated more then 35 cards for children in the hospital to be delivered to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.

One of the members is a NA at Beaumont and hand-delivered the cards to the pediatric unit during her shift. The chapter hopes the Christmas and holiday cards bring cheer to children who may not be able to go home for the holidays. Overall, this was the chapter’s favorite event of the semester because the members really bonded, participated in a festive craft, and did a small service project! They are so thankful for the launch of NeW at Oakland University! (valium)

“The final event of the year was a great balance of having fun with friends and doing something for a great cause, which always makes you feel good about Christmas!” member Alexandria H. said.
