Leader Spotlight: Katie Schoessel, NeW at Ohio State University

Meet Katie Schoessel, Vice President of NeW at the Ohio State University.

How did you first hear about NeW?
Michelle Lucic reached out to me as she had expressed interest in starting a NeW chapter at OSU. I was interested and have since learned much about NeW National and the organization as a whole!

Why is having a NeW chapter on campus so important to you?
Being able to surround myself with a group of like-minded women has been amazing. Women who share conservative beliefs are so powerful, and NeW has allowed me to meet friends I would have never met otherwise. My favorite memory was when some of the women in our chapter went to Condado Tacos and were able to get to know one another better. It was so fun and casual.

Why is NeW important?
NeW is important because it provides a home for women with conservative political beliefs. It allows us to grow together.

What advice would you give other conservative women on campus?
Take the initiative to find your home in NeW. In joining NeW, you gain a support system of women who understand and care for you!
