Galentine’s Day with NeW

This month, several NeW chapters hosted Galentine’s Day celebrations as a fun way of celebrating the incredible women in their chapters.

The evening of February 10, members from NeW at Xavier University got together to decorate Valentine’s Day-themed cookies and watch an episode of the Bachelor. The event was a hit with the women in their chapter and they are already planning another just like it for next year’s Galentine’s Day.

Women from NeW at Baylor University in Waco, Texas met on February 10 for their chapter’s Galentine’s Day party. They played games including MASH and charades and enjoyed home-made delicious treats. NeW at Baylor executive board member, Bailey Jordan, shared after the event, “It was so much fun getting to spend girl time with my friends in NeW. I had been looking forward to this party since we planned it, and I think it really paid off!”

In Washington, DC, women gathered for NeW at American University‘s Galentine’s Day party on February 10. They ate Sprinkles cupcakes and made a creative “Conservative Sweethearts” matching game with conservative power couples that they played to celebrate the holiday.

On February 12, NeW at College of Charleston hosted a brunch-for-dinner event. They played games with candy hearts that sparked a fascinating discussion, and even debate amongst attendees. The women found this fun activity encouraged members to speak up and engage in the conversation.
