Chapter Spotlight: NeW at Notre Dame University

NeW caught up with the women from NeW at Notre Dame University. Learn about the great work these women are doing on campus from their e-board members.

Why is NeW important to your chapter?
NeW is important to our chapter because it gives us an opportunity to come together and form a community. Growing friendships and connections through NeW have helped all of us individually as women. NeW is also an outlet for our women to communicate on important issues across the campus and the world.

What kind of impact has your chapter had on campus?
NeW at Notre Dame has brought a strong community of women who truly care about each other and conservative values to our campus. We have hosted different events over the last few years which have educated and informed our tight-knit community. NeW has brought together women from all over who are interested and invested in the same things. (https://tatuing.com/)

What has been your chapter’s favorite event to host and why?
This year, we had the privilege of having Diane M. Major on campus. She is the CEO of The D. Major Group and one of the leading health policy specialists on Capitol Hill. She came to share some excellent advice and information with all of us and it was an honor to meet and host her!

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a chapter on their campus?
Don’t be discouraged! When we first tried to bring NeW to campus, we faced a lot of opposition and hesitation. Upon getting the chapter approved, we struggled with attendance at our first few events and meetings. Over the years, our chapter has grown.
