Chapter Spotlight: Indiana University

NeW caught up with the women from NeW at Indiana University. Learn about the great work these women are doing on campus from their e-board members.

Why is NeW important to your chapter?
NeW has given our women so many great opportunities to find a community on campus and develop their professional skills. Through NeW, we’ve been able to host great speakers like the Indiana Tax Judge and the Director of Diversity and Engagement for the INGOP. Our women have formed so many strong bonds both professionally and personally through our chapter.

What kind of impact has your chapter had on campus?
Our chapter has given conservative women a place to belong. It can be hard to be a young female conservative, but we do our best to welcome them into our ranks. Through the network NeW provides, our women have gotten involved with and led other conservative groups on campus as well.

What has been your chapter’s favorite event to host and why?
We loved our chapter movie night. We watched What is a Woman and got to share our thoughts on how women are being marginalized by the LGBTQ movement.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a chapter on their campus?
Go for it. Take the first step and reach out to someone on NeW National. They would be more than happy to help you and support you in every way possible.
