Senior Spotlight: Jennifer Ruegsegger, NeW at Loyola University Chicago

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.

Meet Jennifer Ruegsegger, President and Founder of NeW at Loyola University Chicago.

What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
I loved the Capitol Hill Intern Summit in Washington DC, Professional Development Week, and NeW at American’s All About Advocacy Zoom Event.

What are your plans after graduation?
I am taking a gap year before law school. During my gap year, I am enrolling in a post-grad program in litigation practice at Loyola University Chicago.

What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Do not be afraid to express your beliefs.

How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
Since NeW is a conservative women’s organization, I was able to not only be comfortable with my beliefs but also share those beliefs with others who value them similarly. In addition, NeW’s professional workshops and inspiring guest speakers have motivated me to work hard to become a leader and hopefully inspire those, just as I currently do as a NeW member.

Why is NeW important to you?
NeW is important to me because it taught me many ways to become a female leader in anything I do. I find myself wanting to become more educated and strive to be the best woman I can be for myself, family, friends, and towards society.

The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Jennifer. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
