NeW at Catholic University Learns About and Discusses US Education Policy

NeW at Catholic University held a discussion about education policy in the United States, entitled “Women Want Freedom, Not Government Control Over Education,” on September 27, 2021.

Chapter members heard related remarks from Lindsey Burke, Director for the Center for Education Policy at The Heritage Foundation, and were able to ask questions after the event and speak directly to her. While speaking to the group, Burke touched upon her efforts to reduce federal intervention in education at all levels and empower families with education choice. The women left the event feeling better informed on the matter and ready to talk about education with their peers.

“Lindsey provided really great insight into the realities of United States education policy and supported school choice with compelling arguments. She was very candid and knowledgeable about the history of U.S. education and how we have gotten to where we are today,” Jessica Jacobs, chapter finance chair, said.
