NeW at American University soaked in career advice, including tips on resume building and interviewing, at a professional development event on September 23, 2021.

Jane, the chapter’s director of external affairs, shared with the attendees her tips and best practices on a variety of topics, ranging from resume-building advice to how to secure an internship. The women then received a brief lesson on interview tips and networking, followed by some time for members to network and participate in “practice” interviews with each other. Finally, the chapter had a photographer come and take professional headshots of the members that they could use on their LinkedIn profiles.

“The headshots event was a great resource for me to build my professional profile!” said Anna Given, the chapter’s director of membership.
