Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members.
Meet Kayla Forest, president of NeW at the University of South Carolina.
What were some of your favorite events that you participated in with NeW?
Our chapter was new this year, so we just did chapter meetings almost weekly to get to know each other. I absolutely love each and every woman who has joined our chapter, and I’m super sad to go!
What are your plans after graduation?
I am moving to Charlotte, North Carolina to work as an account executive at Goosehead Insurance.
What advice would you give to a conservative woman starting college?
Be yourself. Stand up for what you believe. People will be mean, but if you have those strong bones I know you all have, then you will make it, I promise!
How has NeW impacted you and prepared you for your next steps?
Being president of the University of South Carolina chapter gave me so many opportunities to lead and network. Also, I feel even more confident in being a conservative female because there are many others out there who are just scared to be themselves.
Why is NeW important to you?
I don’t feel alone. I have found a group of strong females who believe in the same principles as me. This world seems huge, but when you have your group of women like NeW, the world seems smaller.
The Network of enlightened Women (NeW) provides premier opportunities for young conservative women like Kayla. Learn how to bring a Chapter of NeW to your campus today!
