The Young Women’s Leadership Retreat prepares and inspires young women to lead effectively in the cultural and political climate on campus. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from a wide range of guest speakers and network with NeW alumnae, mentors, and peers. Sessions will address issues like conservative activism, the #MeToo movement, and other policy issues. Students will also participate in public speaking and debate workshops and learn to develop their networking and interviewing skills.
Some of our confirmed speakers include Pennsylvania State Representative Kate Klunk, Former press secretary to Nancy Reagan and author of Lady in Red Sheila Tate, NeW Founder and President Karin Agness Lips, Washington Examiner columnist Emily Jashinsky, and associate culture editor for the Media Research Center and NeW alumna Katie Yoder.
This year’s Retreat will be located at Bryn Mawr College near historic Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from July 26-29, 2018.
