Tanner is a hardworking first-year at the University of Virginia who embodies the ideals upon which the university was founded. Thomas Jefferson advocated for freedom of speech and thought, excellence in academics, and outstanding service to one’s nation. Tanner served as the Chairman of the UVA Students for Tom Garrett chapter helping to elect Representative Tom Garrett to Congress from Virginia’s 5th District! Additionally, Tanner serves as the current Chairman of UVA Students for Denver Riggelman as he works to elect Denver to the Governor’s Mansion. Tanner demonstrates strong service capabilities and the inclination to serve others, even reaching across the aisle to work with others when it comes to politics as a member of the College Republicans that work closely with the University Democrats. Tanner is also diligent and dedicated in his studies and continues to forge a path to true gentlemanly values. Tanner is a true Virginia Gentleman and makes the women of NeW at UVA proud to have him represent us on his behalf.
