
Emily Jashinsky is a DC–based journalist and commentator and the DC correspondent at UnHerd. She is also co-host of Counter Points with Ryan Grim on the Breaking Points network, a top-ranked political podcast, and hosts her own show, After Party, where she covers politics, media, and culture in a more conversational, long-form format. She is a frequent guest on Megyn Kelly’s platform, appearing on The Megyn Kelly Show to discuss politics, media, and culture.
From 2018 to 2024, she was an editor at The Federalist and hosted the flagship podcast Federalist Radio Hour. She previously co-hosted Rising Fridays with Ryan Grim for The Hill and worked as a commentary writer covering politics at the Washington Examiner. Earlier in her career, she interned at the American Enterprise Institute for Christina Hoff Sommers, assisting with research and fact-checking for the re-release of The War Against Boys.
Jashinsky has interviewed leading political figures and cultural commentators and appears regularly on major television and radio programs including Fox News Sunday, Media Buzz, and Washington Journal. Her writing has been featured in outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, The Telegraph, The Hill, and RealClearPolitics.
In addition to her journalism work, she is a senior fellow at the Independent Women’s Forum and a frequent media critic and commentator on politics and culture. She has also been involved with journalism training and education through the National Journalism Center and has participated in programs connected to Young America’s Foundation, including student-facing journalism initiatives.
Jashinsky is a graduate of George Washington University, where she was active in campus conservative organizations. A Wisconsin native, she began building her media and political journalism experience while in college and has since developed a career spanning digital media, broadcast commentary, and print journalism.
