I am a proud, conservative woman because I have been raised in a community that places a lot of value on what made America the great country that it is. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness haven’t fallen by the wayside here in the town of Red Bay, Alabama.
We still believe in God, family and country here. Families are strong in our small town and each person is encouraged to pursue their dreams. The residents of this town get behind their schools, teachers, students, first responders and citizens. If one of us has problems come up, there are all kinds of people willing to step up and help you.
My strongest female role model is my mother, Theresa. She is one of the hardest working and most selfless women I know. Other strong role models have been some of the great teachers I’ve had and some of the wonderful women in our church that have encouraged me to stay true to myself and succeed in life.
An issue that drives me is showing a great deal of appreciation to all those that have sacrificed to give us the ability to pursue our dreams in this country such as our veterans, teachers and first responders such as the police and fire departments. I want to be educated so well that I can contribute something to those coming up behind me.
