UVA to NeW: Happy Anniversary!

September 28, 2011 | Guest

By Elizabeth Libertini

Over the past three years, NeW has helped me to grow in my conservative beliefs and to develop invaluable friendships with other like-minded women. I joined my chapter during my second year at the University of Virginia and was both excited and relieved to finally find a group of women with whom I could share my beliefs. Every week, I looked forward to spending time with young women who not only held conservative values but demonstrated pride in their convictions. As the president of my chapter, I’ve gained a true appreciation for the positive impact that NeW women have on the university community. Although I’ve enjoyed working with my chapter to plan discussions and to create events, the most rewarding part of these activities is hearing other women begin to challenge the radical feminist ideology that dominates the campus dialogue. Thanks to NeW, my college is finally seeing real diversity in the discussion on women at UVA. Happy Anniversary and congratulations to NeW for seven years of giving a voice to conservative college women!
