The Media and First Ladies

In a recent Wall Street Journal article, the author exposed the reality of the media’s obsession with Michelle Obama. From the glowing reports of her trips to military bases to the ways in which she has supported her husband’s policies, the media has not hidden its approval of the First Lady. However, what the author finds most distressing, is the criticism of Laura Bush and the ignorance of her activities and her initiatives while her husband was in office. She suggests that both the Michelle Obama and the media have effectively not given the credit due to Mrs. Bush and what she achieved as First Lady. What do you think?
