The 2009 Gentlemen of ASU: Brian Jacobson

February 24, 2010 | NeW Staff

Brian Jacobson
Supply Chain Management Senior
Hometown: Fridley, Minnesota

What is your passion, life-goal or dream job?

My goal in life is to live out the love that Christ has shown me and let my actions be an example of that love.

Name and describe a particular man who was a role model and an influence for you in developing character and becoming a gentleman.

A man that has been an influence for me is Stephen Keeler – he has been a mental and spiritual leader who taught me that chivalry is more than just opening doors and being polite, it is about loving people in the same way that Christ loved us.

What kind of reaction do you get from people when you do gentlemanly things?

More often than not people are surprised when I do gentlemanly things. My favorite reaction is a simple thank you, nothing more. Just hearing thank you once or twice is enough to motivate me for months!
