Senior Spotlight: Laurel Ruth Conrad

May 23, 2014 | Krystal

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members. We will miss working with them on campus, but look forward to them joining our NeW Alumnae Network.

Today’s Spotlight is on Laurel Ruth Conrad, NeW leader at Cornell University.

Laurel Conrad Cornell

How Did NeW shape your college experience?

As co-president of NeW my senior year, I learned a lot about leading and organizing a club. Additionally, I also benefited from the opportunity to analyze and discuss hot-topic issues with wonderful NeW ladies.

What is your favorite part of NeW? Your favorite memory?
Our NeW chapter typically begins and finishes the year with a trip to the Ithaca’s Farmers Market. I have so many wonderful memories of spending quality time with my fellow NeW ladies there.
Why do you think others should be involved with NeW?
Others should be involved with NeW in order to build a strong network of friends that fosters discussion and different opinions than you would typically hear around campus.

What is one piece of advice you would pass on to NeW ladies following you?

Don’t ever be shy about telling your friends about NeW! I am so blessed to have friends who became involved in NeW after I convinced them to come to a meeting. 🙂

Thanks Laurel!
