Senior Spotlight: Bethany Dearden

May 20, 2014 | Krystal

Congratulations to our graduating seniors and thank you for your work with NeW! We are pleased to spotlight some of our outstanding chapter leaders and members. We will miss working with them on campus, but look forward to them joining our NeW Alumnae Network.

Today’s Spotlight is on Bethany Dearden, NeW member at Sweet Briar College.

What is your favorite memory of NeW?

My favorite memory is the first time I introduced a younger Sweet Briar woman to NeW. When she became a member, I saw the network in action.

What will you miss most about NeW?

I will miss how women who are different in many ways (from biology majors like myself, to creative writing enthusiasts) all come together to promote a common goal.

What is one piece of advice you would pass on to NeW ladies following you?
Never underestimate the power of simple conversation. Most of our members have been added to our chapter through a simple, “have you heard of NeW?”.
Thanks Bethany! We wish you the best after graduation.
