Open Marriage: Is This Our Future?

Apparently growing up, marrying the man of her dreams, having a daughter and a beautiful house only confused Jenny Block author of her personal memoir entitled Open: Love, Sex and Life in an Open Marriage.  She doesn’t believe in monogomay and her book is her story of how she ultimately decided on having a three way relationship for the remainder of her life.  Rather than destroying a marriage, her affair with her best friend (a woman) allegedly opened up a new “chapter” in her marriage.  

Block also believes that most people are like her and her “sharing a lover” with her husband will become more prevalent in other couples as it is more “typical” than a “rarity.” She calls our marriage-oriented society a “falsehood” and a “fairy tale” that we are clinging onto.
