NeW Woman Making an Impact at William & Mary

September 23, 2009 | NeW Staff

Congratulations to Kelsey Budd, the President of NeW at William and Mary for being featured on an online edition of the campus independent paper, The Virginia Informer Online.

Kelsey learned about NeW this summer when she met Caroline, president at UVA, during their internship at Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute.  She attended the NeW National Conference to learn more about NeW. During the Conference, she met other conservative students and NeW leaders. Kelsey saw the need and potential for NeW at her school. This summer, she began the process of starting NeW up at William and Mary. We are so thrilled to have her as a part of our movement.
Kelsey has a strong vision for NeW this year at William and Mary:
“It’s hard sometimes to feel your voice being disregarded…An important part of this club is enlightenment and understanding both sides…I want to infiltrate our campus with a new way of thinking.”
Well said, Kelsey!  We are excited for the chance for culturally conservative women to learn about their beliefs, to express their views, and to find their own voice on college campuses.  What a great way to start off a NeW year at William and Mary!
