NeW UF Celebrates with a Tea Party

September 29, 2010 | NeW Staff

The first event I ever attended for NeW was the tea party we had at our advisor’s house. It was shortly after the anniversary of NeW and it was a great way to get to know such wonderful conservative women in a comfortable setting. I had not a clue who anyone was….but we bonded over cucumber sandwiches, raspberry white chocolate scones, and a wide selection of specialty teas. After my afternoon at the tea party with the women of NeW, I knew this was the perfect organization for me!

The UF Chapter of NeW has continued this tradition for the past 3 years and that is how we plan to spend celebrating the 6th anniversary of NeW! Welcoming new members and past members, we not only celebrate the wonderful roots of our organization but the amazing network that we have been able to create. Many of our members were able to attend the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) where we were able to meet NeW women from across the country. The tea party also helps us reflect on the awesome network we have at the University of Florida! I wish we could all be at one big tea party for NeW’s anniversary, but I know that we are all excited to celebrate with our chapters across the country on this remarkable day…the anniversary of the start of NeW.

The NeW Ladies from the Gator Nation would like to wish NeW a Happy Sixth Anniversary and all the NeW women across the country best wishes on their own celebrations!
