New Findings on Birth Control

October 8, 2009 | NeW Staff

A recent study released some interesting new information about the birth control “Pill:”  Women on the Pill have reported a subtle change in taste of men and find “boyish” men more attractive then “macho masculine” types.

Hmm…so what does this mean?

Scientists are still trying to figure out whether or not the results are standard across the board, but point to the change in makeup of male heart throbs over the last 40 years to support this trend–Sean Connery, the ultimate masculine man, to Johnny Depp, markedly less so.  As well, scientists point out that this could be problematic–one indicator of healthy children is having two parents with genetic makeups that are not alike.  If women are attracted less and less to super “manly” men, then this could potentially cause problems for healthy babies.

None of this science has proven to be the rule quite yet, but it’s interesting to take into consideration.  The Pill may not be the key to women’s happiness after all…
