Intern Spotlight: Hannah Kowitz

January 13, 2015 | NeW

Meet Hannah, one of our winter break interns.

How did you hear about NeW?

I heard about NeW my freshman year at Sweet Briar College from a girl in my Spanish class. My classmate gave me info on the organization, and told me how she thought I would be a perfect fit for the group. After doing a little research, I immediately joined, and have been involved ever since!

Why were you interested in interning for NeW?

I became interested in interning for NeW as soon as I found out about the organization. Conservative activism has always been a passion of mine so an internship with NeW was an honor that I could not turn down.

What do you hope to gain from your internship?

I hope to gain a better understanding of not only how NeW works, but how other organizations work in comparison to NeW. When I was first told about NeW, I was beyond excited that an organization like this existed. It was a diamond in the rough on my small, liberal arts, all women’s college campus. I, also, look forward to seeing how my chapter at Sweet Briar compares to other chapters around the country.

Why do you think NeW is important?

Young, conservative women are scarce so it is important that organizations like NeW exist on college campuses around the country. Like I said before, it is a diamond in the rough on liberally  biased college campuses today. Conservative women, like myself, should know that they are not alone with their conservative ideals and values.
