Happy Birthday Phyllis Schlafly!

August 17, 2012 | Sarah

Earlier this week, Phyllis Schlafly celebrated her 88th birthday. Mrs. Schlafly is a Constitutional lawyer, wife and mother and Conservative activist. She has worked (and is still working) tirelessly to promote women’s rights and abilities without giving up on femininity.

In addition to her work in the political and social arenas, she is also a prolific writer, and a favorite author in NeW chapters across the country. Her most recent book, The Flipside of Feminism (written with niece Suzanne Venker) was discussed last year in our online book club.

Happy birthday, Mrs. Schlafly! Thank you for all the work you have done for women and women’s rights!
