Four years ago today, we held the first meeting of NeW at the University of Virginia. We had a great turn-out for that meeting, which foreshadowed the tremendous growth ahead of us. When starting NeW, it would have been difficult to imagine where we would be four years later. At the time, we just wanted to create a club for conservative women at UVA. NeW’s national success speaks to the difference that individuals can make, the strength of conservative principles and the void on college campuses of organizations for conservative women. In the past four years, we have grown from a book club at UVA to a national organization with chapters all over the country. We have also held three national conferences in D.C. and launched this blog.
Thanks to all of you who have participated in NeW by starting chapters, becoming members or contributing financially. You have helped make NeW what it is today!
I have had a lot of great experiences from NeW. Here are some of my highlights.
