Gentlemen’s Showcase Still Making the News

April 5, 2010 | NeW Staff

NeW’s Gentlemen’s Showcase makes the headlines again!  NeW Founder Karin Agness’s op-ed was published yesterday in Charlottesville’s Daily Progress.

If you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, you will be encouraged:

“There are still gentlemen on college campuses. And with a little encouragement, there will be more. Instead of trying to change men on campus, we should seek to bring out the best in them. And this lesson applies to women as well. The pop culture battles between the sexes remain. The success of this event, however, gives me hope that we are coming to terms with our sex differences, which will lead to better relations between the sexes in the future.”

And this is what happened with the Showcase this year.  NeW chapter women helped to bring out the best in both men and women on college campuses, and by so doing, promoted mutual respect between the sexes.
