Thank you to everyone who attended the 2014 NeW National Conference! And there were a lot of you.
The Conference kicked off with a Reception that included remarks by Congresswoman Susan Brooks. We had a packed house! It was great to see many old friends and also meet new people interested in our work. Thank you again to our wonderful Host Committee.
Friday, Katie Pavlich delivered an enlightening keynote speech to a big crowd. We had four panels—discussing policy and professional development. These will be be posted on YouTube later this month.
One of the best parts of the Conference for me was meeting our NeW chapter leaders from across the country and women who are interested in starting chapters. I am pleased to share our Award winners.
- New chapter of the Year: American University
- Chapter of the Year: University of Florida
- Enlightened Woman of the Year: Krystal Hernandez (University of Florida)
- NeW Woman of the Year: Kara Bloomer (NeW Alumnae Network)
We made two announcements.
NeW is pleased to announce our Essay Contest. More information is available here.
