Did You Watch SOTU?

January 28, 2010 | NeW Staff

Last night, President Obama delivered his first State of the Union Address.  Today, the blogosphere and tweeters have been commenting left and right about Obama’s first delivery.  He focused on jobs, economic recovery, health care, and the environment.  The President called for bipartisanship throughout the speech.

After the address, Governor Bob McDonnell gave response representing the Republican party.  McDonnell began by quoting Thomas Jefferson.  He had some positive things to say about the President’s recommendations to Congress for a new year. Governor McDonnell shared his disagreements as well and what he believed the country needed to do to pull itself out of economic hardship.

Did you watch the evening’s addresses and following commentary?  If so, what was memorable in your mind? What do you think about the state of the union?
