Conservative Student Called A Fascist

February 17, 2009 | NeW Staff

The latest in the culture war battles: A Los Angeles City College calls his student a Fascist.
When Jonathan Lopez gave a speech against gay marriage, his professor
stopped him in the middle of the speech and called him a Fascist. Lopez
has responded with a suit against his professor represented by the
Alliance Defense Fund. His lawyer Steve Hacker, responded,

“He was
expressing his faith during an open-ended assignment, but when the
professor disagreed with some minor things he mentioned, the professor
shut him down.  Basically, colleges and universities
should give Christian students the same rights to free expression as
other students.”
