What is your involvement with NeW?

I founded NeW in 2004 at the University of Virginia.  I’ve enjoyed helping NeW grow into a national organization with chapters nationwide.

Why is NeW important to you?

I am proud that NeW gives conservative women a voice on campus.  NeW fosters the education and leadership of conservative university.  I enjoy being part of the NeW Network.

What is your best NeW memory?

Too many to share them all here!  Here are 5.

  1. Our National Conference each summer: Each summer, we hold our annual National Conference.  This has turned into a big event for interns, young professionals and some of the authors on our book list.  It leads to great things for NeW.  For example, this year, I met Mary Kate from the University of Iowa and now she is starting a chapter.  Click here for pictures!
  2. Chapter Events: I enjoy hearing the creative ideas our chapter leaders come up with for how to make a difference on their campuses.  Just this week I spoke for the NeW chapter at George Washington University to a big crowd of students.  I’m excited to see what is in store for this chapter! Click here for some pictures of difference chapter events.
  3. Friendships: I am thankful for the deep and meaningful friendships I have developed through NeW.  I am still good friends with many of the original founders at UVA and have enjoyed building new NeW relationships through the NeW DC group.  I’m looking forward to the many memories to come!

How are you celebrating the anniversary?

I look forward to celebrating with the NeW leaders at GWU and also some members of our NeW DC group.  It will be a fun Anniversary weekend!

Congrats NeW!
