The Value of Life
Just a few weeks ago, a lawsuit was filed against Sycloria Williams and Belkis Gonzales in Miami, Florida. Allegedly, while going to get an abortion, Sycloria gave birth to the child she intended to abort, and the abortion clinic owner, Belkis, murdered the child by suffocating her in a biohazard bag and then leaving her to decay in a cardboard box in the clinic’s closet.
Sycloria had been having severe pains and abdominal bleeding, and instead of going to the emergency room, she went to the abortion clinic.
The only reason police began an investigation of the murder was due to the anonymous callers in the clinic who witnessed the abomination. Eventually they found the baby girl dead in a cardboard box in one of the clinic’s closets.
I don’t need to say much along with this story, but I think there is one take-home point. This abortion clinic has no regard for life whatsoever. Most people who are pro-choice claim that a life begins when outside of the womb, and those who are pro-life argue it begins at conception; but when this type of story emerges it transcends the pro-life and pro-choice argument. It is an utter lack of respect for life at its very beginning, and I think both sides can agree that it is shocking and saddening.
