The Royal Wedding: A Beautiful & Happy Day of Love

Did you watch the Royal Wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William last night? It was so lovely to watch, and Kate Middleton’s dress was gorgeous.  The love truly shines through between the couple; no matter how poised and proper they appear. Here are some pictures from their wedding and celebrations. Also, make sure you go to Hulu if you missed the wedding coverage. There are also tons of clips and excerpts on there, such as their carriage ride, their moment on the balcony, and more. I am so excited for the couple, and they seem so full of love and happiness.  They are poised and elegant, yet they are not shy about their affection for each other. I wish them many years of happiness and I look forward to hearing about them more. What did you think of the royal wedding?

I couldn’t help but get teary eyed as I watched the video of her entering the church! It’s nice to have the whole world take a moment to celebrate and appreciate marriage.

I wish them the best and I’m glad the world took a moment to celebrate marriage; however, I still shame him for not asking her parents if he could marry her because he was “afraid they would say no.” I also shame him for having her move in before (much less years before) they got married. I don’t care if modern society accepts it; that is not how a gentleman should behave, especially one who is a leader in his country. I’m glad they’ve corrected their relationship though and have finally vowed their life and love to each other. Just some thoughts from an American gentleman.

Maybe this is a guy/girl thing, but I just don’t get it. I’m sure that to the couple this is the most important day in their lives, and it’s no doubt pretty important to their families. But, no offense, I just don’t care. I don’t care any more than if I heard that some other complete strangers thousands of miles away were getting married. Why do so many people carry about royal and celebrity weddings, but not about the wedding of Joe and Mary Doe of Podunk Iowa?

Oh, I don’t mean to be critical. If you find this amusing or entertaining, okay. I suppose that the things that I do for entertainment — reading science fiction novels, playing computer games, etc — don’t create any greater benefit to humanity. I just don’t understand why it’s interesting to people.
