NeW Senior Spotlight: Lisa from the University of Virginia School of Law

by NeW Staff on May 18, 2010 · 0 comments

Today, NeW will honor Lisa Graff, a soon-to-be graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law.  NeW at UVA Law was our first Law Chapter, and Lisa has been a key reason for the chapter’s success.  We asked Lisa a few questions about her involvement and experiences in NeW.  Congratulations on your achievements, Lisa, and thank you for your commitment to NeW!

How Long have you been involved in NeW?
The past 3 semesters.
Did you hold any Leadership Positions?
Treasurer, 2009-2010
What has been the most rewarding experience during your involvement in NeW?
Getting to know other girls, especially wives of law students.
Do you plan to stay involved in the conservative movement and/or politics after graduation?  If so, how?
Yes, but not sure how yet.
What advice would you leave to younger members of NeW?
Don’t be afraid to stand up for what you believe in.  Even if most people disagree with you, there’s probably someone who agrees with you but was too timid to speak up on their own.
And some special remarks from Becca, fellow NeW at UVA Law Leader:
“Lisa Graff has been an integral part of NeW at UVA Law.  Her consistent leadership and willingness to be active and responsible have been a great asset.  Lisa is the kind of woman that exemplifies what NeW stands for; she is strong in her convictions, diligent in learning, and hard-working in action.”
Congratulations Lisa!
