Lone Star State Once Again?

Texans have not missed out on the anti-tax tea party action on Tax Day. The state’s residents are particularly frustrated with the expansion of the federal government. Texas Governor Rick Perry said Texas would leave the Union if the current trend of high taxation continues. He said, “If Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that. But Texas is a very unique place, and we’re a pretty independent lot to boot.” Is Texas serious about once again become the official lone star state?
